OK, let's both take a step back here and ess what's going on. You didn't say in your info here whether this current bloke you're seeing also just came out of a recent relationship. If he did, then what you are both suffering from is what's called 'can't be out of love' syndrome. Some people have this huge fear of not being in love. Now, I may be a bit off base here but if you are his first new, real love, he will believe in his mind you are all that and more. You know what I think, BASK IN IT GIRL!!! How often does this opportunity comes along. Communication is the key here too for both of you. Watch his actions and gage what's happening between the both of you so that you can feel comfortable with the relationship and let the love flow. Yes, you may feel smothered but if you talk to him he will understand am sure. Go easy on him, you may be dealing with a virgin and he's too shy to come out and tell you that he is.
