What to give your baby when he /she has colic? (Im doing a essay for school)?

Our baby cried endlessly for the first three months of her life. The things that worked best for her: swaddle her so she's nice and snug (the way she was in the womb), dim the lights, and have white continuous noise going such as a heater or fan.
