Sounds like the clic mommyidous (I don't think I spelled that right...sorry) Well, what I would try is next time your little one cried for you, both you and daddy come. If she wants you to eat with her, both sit on each side of her and take turns cutting up the carrots for her. Both sleep with her for a little while and both read her a nighttime story. Then slowly try to let the dad try to do it on his own. You can't just push him on her right away with no warning. This is a habit now for you to look to you. Take it step by step and it should work.
