Q&A concerns about Hep C?

I was told about 5 yrs ago in a insurance exam i had hep c antivirus, was tested by Dr. and that was that untill recently when my Dr. had me make a appointment with a gastrointestineogolist . At this time he kinda informed we needed to find out how severe I was with a biopsy and see what kind of treatment I could consider.My question is in another set of Q&A's seen if you had the antivirus you was immuned to hep c,,,, is this right or wrong,,,also im a heart patient and was taking Zocor till quite recently when my Dr. seen higher levels in my blood and made the appointment. Other question is about my family what precautions if any are needed for protection for wife, daughter, and grandkids to keep them safe from hep?
