Hi all, i'm a pretty experienced mechanic (although not qualified) I've heard of people removing the dust seals from brake pistons, especially on race bikes. I know it reduces friction at the expense of having to rebuild the brakes more often, but does it make them more prone to leaking? The reason i ask is my gsxr 750 has 6 pot calipers, and out of the 12 pistons 8 had seized due to damaged dust seals... i've now removed all dust seals... Ouch! i think i cracked my rib?

hey everyone. so i was snowboarding on thursdsy and i decided to try and hit a jump. well the first 3 times i just fell on my , no biggie. but the 4th time i totally ate in. my head biunced off the ground and everything. as soon as i hit my ribs felt broken. my dad then told me that if they were broken or cracked i would not be able to walk. now he is no doctor so i dont listen to him. on friday morning it hurt really bad for me to sit up. i mean this is a horrible pain. i thought it would be bruised and i am pretty sure the one side is. but the other side is really bad. when i touch it it is a sharp pain. it hurts to sit on the couch unless there is a pillow behind my back. i cant twist my upper body and it hurts to cough luagh or sneeze. i also just relized that when i touch it it feels like it moves. now i have a dance competition in dance. should i still dance with this? i do highland. also could it be cracked or broken,is it true that you cant walk if it was crakced or broken

I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I still feel my daughter move everday but it is a lot less than usual and instead of feeling those hard kicks n punches its more like squirming and just moving. I've been working st UPS for almost 16 months and I am 9 1/2 weeks pregnant. They've known this since my 3rd week, when I found out. for 13 months, I was in ODC and they had to transfer me because the work was to slow to small sort. This may sound like I'm paranoid but I know that they haven't like me since I complained and said that they don't go by the contract. Everyday they har me about my speed but yet it says nothing in the contract about how many packages you have to do per hr. What it does say is that you have to do your best. Me being new and pregnant, I was doing on an average of 260-270 pkg per hr. For only being up there for a short time and being pregnant, with the fan so high in the ceiling that I can't feel it, I think it's pretty good. So I talked to a union rep and they stopped haring me for 2 days and then they started back up again. When I asked for gloves so I wouldn't get any more of the slivers that I get from working with no gloves, they denied me the gloves claiming they ran out and not going to have any until November, when the holidays start back up. I was given those blue plastic gloves that nurses use but those were useless because they rip so easily and the slivers still can get through them. So I went to go buy my own gloves and I found these gardening gloves that were okay. The material seemed think enough where slivers wouldn't get through it. Only problem was that they were a little big on me but I know I could manage. When I started wearing them at work, my supervisor starts to discourage me about wearing them saying "It's going to affect how fast you go" and "how are you going to be able to type in the track number?". Things to that affect. This past July 4th, I had a very close friend tragically die and I always seen her as the sister I never had. The only thing that separated us from being sisters was our blood. She seen my mother as her mother as well and I seen her mother as my mother too. We were inseparable. So I told work that it was my sister who ped away, that was the monday after 4th of July. I had 3 days to grieve but the wake wasn't until Later in the week (friday) and considering I was still hurting from her tragic death, and the distance from work and where the wake was located at, I took that week off returning to work that coming Tuesday. For that whole weekend through wed. I was spotting, so Tuesday before work I made an emergency appointment the next day (wed) with my ob/gyn to make sure everything was okay. Everything was okay. Every since then, I haven't been feeling good because of my pregnancy. The usual, mourning sickness, hot flashes, mood swings, and mostly depression. Most of the time when I eat I have to force it down my throat and then I end up vomiting, which is a sign of depression. So after that Tuesday I went to work, I haven't been in. I called in wed and thurs myself and friday I had an aunt call in for me because I was vomiting at the time and they like the calls to at least be in hr in advance to the time i am suppose to be in and it was already almost half hour late on calling in so I had her do it to get it done quicker. She had the phone on speaker and all that was said was to call back when I was ready to come back to work. They said nothing of my 15 almost 16 months of working there that if I was absent for 3 days then I had to call them and tell them that I'm still not ready. Just to call back when I'm ready to come back to work to book back in. Anyways, I didn't go to work that next week because of the same problems. They claim that I'm on an unauthorized leave and that they haven't heard from me in 2 weeks, which was a lie, it was one week! That next Monday (this past Monday) I was trying to force myself to go but it was just to hot and here comes the hot flashes. The fact it doesn't help that my car doesn't have AC either and my car is black. If I drove while in that heat, I'm afraid I could p out completely and crash. So I didn't make it on Monday. During the day Monday I got a call from this lady in the HR office asking me to call her back and I did and explained to her what they failed to tell her, that I am pregnant and I told her about the mourning sickness and hot flashes and depression that has been occurring. She understood and said, "at least your having a baby!". I agreed with her trying not to cry because most of the depression I have is because of the fact that the baby was conceived through . That just adds on to the depression I have that naturally comes along with pregnancy. She told me she would call me back if she needed more information and she hasn't called back since. Monday night a different lady in the HR office had called me and has done nothing but give me attitude. Personally, I was a little surprised because I know this lady and she was a sweetheart but I guess the tables have turned. She was suggesting me to get a doctors note so I can go back to work. I haven't been able to reach my do

I REALLY want to become a United States Marine. I plan to join at 19 with a 4 year enlistment. As crazy as it may sound, my boyfriend and I (both age 26, healthy, happy, of sound mind and body) have noticed these "ironic" situations that are literally a daily occurrence. And not just daily, but at least, 3 times a day will these situations come up and right as plain and obvious as can be. Yes, we know.... how petty, simple and stupid, right? But, imagine this is happening more and more frequently between us, becoming more and more blunt, and with more and more random situations. We have gotten to the point where now when it happens, we just look at each-other and say "There it is". What is "it"? What is causing "it"? Why is "it" happening? We just want to know what is going on. Any advise, insight, input, literally, anything is welcomed as far as an explanation is concerned.

On the evening of Friday July 4, 2008 (at approx. 6:15pm MST) I was verbally hared and falsely accused by the store manager, Dave Birt, of things that I did not do. He (along with a security gaurd drone) approached me while I was in the DVD section shopping for movies. The first thing he said was "You have been making offensive inquiries to some employees." which was completely false. He then accused me of "making offensive gestures to his employees", and while I was asking him to explain himself, he said my hand movements were of "attacking nature" while all the while I was just standing there confused. I politely asked him to elaborate on these accusations and he retorted, "You seem to be confused, which is fine, but I've already told you what you did! Since you're being uncooperative, you're now tressping!" I pleaded with him, "You haven't told me what I did, this is harment. You've only accused me on things I haven't done." Long story short: I made my purchase and left.

Power of Attorney fraud.. plz HELP!?

My bf's dad appointed my bf's half-sister POA of his bank acct b4 his death. After his death, she changed his address, stole all his money and will not cooperate with my bf (the father's ONLY biological child) by supplying proof on what his father's money was used for. We've since discussed the matter with the bank, which stated that her POA ceased when the father died. We have a bank statement that shows withdrawels and forged checks from his bank acct after his death. We are not informed enough on what can be done to get this issue resolved. The main issue at hand is that he had thousands of dollars in checks coming in and my bf was left beneficiary but never saw a penny, in fact he was a minor child when his dad died and abandoned in the home his father left him, against the dad's wishes. The attorney who prepared the trust is basically ignoring my bf, probably bc he's so young and there are two half-siblings fighting to take his home away.. PLZ HELP!!

If you come up with a nice riff, but something about it sounds familiar, is it best to start over?

Just take the part of the riff that sounds the most familiar and tweak it. You could change the phrasing or the timing of that part of the riff or substitute one note for another. Replace a couple of notes with their octaves or through in a ping note in between some of the notes. Keep tinkering with it, until it feels like your own, and if someone still says that it sounds like Sweet Child of Mine, then scrap it.

EX has ruined everything?

Are any of you moms having trouble with pesky flying critters?

I am a very clean and neat person. My house is immaculate, yet I see these flying, critters called gnats usually in the kitchen area. And a few in my bedroom recently. I've been in my townhome since March, first it was ladybugs, then the maintenance man came and sprayed, no more ladybugs, now its gnats. I was going to bomb the whole place, but I decided to try a baking soda and vinegar cleaning method, and to target my garbage disposal. I did this and didn't see any gnats for a few days. I thorougly cleaned out the refrigerator, microwave, floor, bleached out the trashcans, keep trash taken out, diapers disposed of immediately in the dumpster, dishes washed up promptly, but still I'm seeing them here and there. NOt as many as before, but I'm still swapping them. What can I do? Bombing is sooo time consuming and I have a 2 1/2 year old Autistic boy, who has therapist in and out of the house constantly. Is anybody else who is clean, having this problem?

3-5-5 and 5-7-7 are a full step apart. i honestly don't understand why they would sound the same. however, are you using an octave pedal? are your string relatively new? are you in standard tuning? what the guy from ultimate guitar.com is playing is correct. what he shows you when you change the tuning should be played with a slide. takes a bit more practice to get that one right.

I think most religions and holy texts have some ideas that are good in them or some good advice to get along with others and live a good life. I think the good is mixed with the chaff and there are also a lot of supernatural claims mixed in as well. If you mean do I think being able to forgive, not be a hypocrite, and caring for others are good things then yes. I don't think you need the Bible to work them out as good ideas a lot of the time but I think they are good ideas in the Bible. If only we all (Christian and non Christian included) could be more consistent in application it would be a nice thing.

I have survey results I need to yze. I'm looking at the responses of two independent populations. The answers to the question I'm yzing are categorical, meaning that the respondent could've chosen answer A, B, C, E, or E. I want to look at the % of respondents in each category in one population, and compare to the other population, and determine whether there are any statistically significant differences. What statistical methodology should I use? Two-sided Z-test? Chi-squared? T-test? HELP!

I think i have bipolar?

i believe i may have bipolar disorder, but i'm afraid to go to my gp, can i just carry on through my life pretending everything's okay when it isn't. I was suddenly on another wizzy 'high' last night, lasting for hours, i was agitated, highly exciteable, felt almost invincible, and my kids just said it was 'one of mum's crazy times', and then this morning i came down with a huge bang, couldn't stop crying, felt suicidal, this pattern drives me nuts, i can't talk to my hubby about it, he isn't someone i can talk to about anything really, he rejects me normally so i'm afraid that will get worse. i'm unsure whether i want medication as i don't want to be like a zombie, anyone got any other ideas as i'm not coping, but hiding the depression quite well, apart from the 'highs' which are impossible to. i've tried squashing that side when i feel it coming to avoid the lows that always follow, but it makes me very unhappy.

ADHD, so far as I'm concerned, is a great term for teachers to use when they don't have the patience to deal with certain active kids. "Disorder" goes at the end of any ambiguous hard to specifically nail down problem. "Syndrome" is another good one. Ignore these people and the space-madness drugs they want to throw at you. Maybe go to bed earlier, try harder in school, be good. Quit giving them such a hard time before they lobotomize you! Have you ever seen the movie "One flew over the cuckoos nest"? What was your most memorable League Match or Tournament Match? GOOD or BAD?

Mine was a County play off it went to the wire tied up at 2-2. The opposing team had been committing several poor sportsmanship offenses. The last match was our 7 verses their 6 who thought and acted like he was the PRO UNDER COVER. Our 7 one was a good ole Irish boy 100% and had several drinks coming up to his match. I don’t really know to this day what exactly set Mr. O’Brien off but it was quite obvious he was to keep it clean “irritated”. He ran his then shot defense on the eight ball? As Captain I couldn’t help but raise my eye brows, there was no reason for the defense. I would soon find out Dennis had decided to humiliate this guy and humiliate him he did! He had this guy shot 49 innings on the 8 ball alone. Those that have scored an APA match knows the little square provided doesn’t accommodate that many marks. It nearly got out of hand and I finally convinced my player to end this toying so he pocketed the 8. The other player actually protested the match to no avail other then to put the humiliation he received as “Topic of the Play offs” and the win was ruled legal. Ok, so my sister is having a baby,a girl. I was close to my sister when we were younger then we got separated but we still saw each other a lot and now we speak frenquently. So she got married in March and is now Preggo. She was going to name to baby Alexis because that is her middle name and I thought that was sooo cute! But then yesterday over the phone she told me that her husband wanted her to name the baby after his mom who died and my sister never met. Ok so my issue is that the name is...not cute for a baby girl. It's Gloria. Is it my place to say something about this name? After all my sister never met his mom, he has other kids from a previous marriage and this is my sisters first baby! Not only that but this name is not suitable for a young girl, I feel that way anyway but is it my place?

How do you prepare a "virgin" mare for breeding?

I have a 4 year old mare that i wish to breed. We tried last breeding season, but she did not concieve and it was too late in the season to continue trying, so i decided to wait untill this spring. The thing i would like to know is If there is anything in particular i should do to prepare her, since she has never been in foal before? The stallion is fertile and he is at the barn i board at. DESPERATE AND SCARED. Please tell me how to get help with this.?

I'm a 34yr old female - no siblings. Basiclly i'm lucky enough to have met a very speical therapist, who i've seen on and off for 19yrs, since i was 15yrs old. Bare in mind, not constant, I've had breaks of 5/6yrs in therapy and then when i encountered some difficulties i would contact her again for advice. I have enormous respect and love for her, shes just a great person and she helped me build my character and gave me encouragement in my darkest moments. My own mother (who i absolutely love) and forgive and want the best for has now had to go to institutional care. She is only 69 and physically fit and healthy but has a very disruptive mental condition where only professional nursing care can give her the attenton she needs. I live 2 hrs from her. I'm in regular contact. My father was absent all my life - with a bit of contact, i love him very much too. Anyway, I done ok for myself in life, ok job, moved away and have a very special partner - a great guy this past 10yrs. However, life has turned challenging for us. We have both lost our jobs, my mother is now in nursing home ( but not settled, which is very upsetting) and my dad has developed cardiac problems. Anyhow, as i dont have siblings or close family, dealing with my parents causes me great stress. This past 2yrs have been fierce diffiuclt. My mother has been begging me to give up my partner and life and move in with her and care for her at home. I stay with her some weekends and holidays ( all xmas) away from my partner, but even if i leave the house for one hour shes crying and rining people and throwing violent tantrums, so i couldnt do it. My father wont either but has expressed dissatisfaction that i wont live nearby. Actually they are both cold and distant and very critical of me for keeping my distance and buiding my own life. They feel i should be living near them and caring for them and marrying someone from the neigbourhood. Yet if i did, they would consume me and my mother is very very disruptive and verbally abusive. They have more or less intonated that they will leave me off their wills and not give me any inheritance. Anyhow, since this has erupted real badly, I've contacted my therapist again with the hope of building tools to be stronger and able to live with their possible abandonment. Now that my partner and i have lost our jobs, it is likely we will have to emigrate. I feel that will do it for my parents, and that they will disown me. So anyway, i'm back with my therapist. However, I find feelings developing where i wish this woman, who is so positive and lovely would love me as a daughter. I know this wont happen as its a theutic relatinship. She has other clients. I'm not the only one and I know its probably part of the service to make clients feel good. This is causing me great anxiety (these feelings) as they are taking away from what i've gone to therapy for and i'm spending days ruminating on these feelings. I really wish i didnt have them. Please note they are not ual. I just enjoy her company so much and connect on such a deep level, and i'm finding it hard to translate all this into everyday relationships now. I also feel distant from my partner and i really dont want to. I'm afraid if i discuss all this with her, she may tell me to go to another therapist, and I really, after 19years could not face this, it would really really upset me. Do you think she will be able to handle these feelings and help me work through them? I just want to express them. I dont expect her to want me as a daughter, that aint happening, i know. so far she has told me over and over that im a really special client, that i'm a unique type of person, reduced my fees, gone over 20mins in the sessions, told me i could text over xmas day if i was stressed with mum. I didnt, i always respect her space. However, I find myself, wtih these recent stresses, more and more wantign to spend more time with her and to get more encouragement from her and i really really admire her and feel a lovely energy from her. I'm just scared to tell her all this stuff. Shes 73 and winding down so i don t want to dump on her. Please advise me how i can get these feelings out there? PLEASE no lecture about how shes my therapist, not my friend, i know that. I just want to know how to tell her, thanks so much.

feeding question?

Our baby is one month old and doing well with feeding. My mother-in-law came last week, and helped us so much by feeding the baby during the night so that we could sleep. My have been severely engorged every morning, so I have been pumping 2 bottles, not only for relief but to have additional expressed milk for night feedings since my husband wants to help too. My are huge and in immense pain every morning. I know this engorgement will eventually subside, but has anyone else had this issue? And if so, how long did it take? I don't want to develop an infection. Thank you for your input!

Feeding my Mini.. HELP!?

I'm buying a mini soon, idk whats feed its on right now. It WILL be on all gr, and goood hay, so what should I feed it? Ik some minis that are just on hay strecher and some that are on nothing and some just get what the other horses get just smaller portions. my horse gets 12% sweet feed and purina endurance, could i give it small amounts of that?

small is beautiful, if you are just learning you will be best with fewer bits rather than more. i dont know what kit the blink 182 drummer has but here will be utube videos of him playing these songs live and you can see what he has. Remember studio recordings have lots of percussion added later and so it is pointless gettting them on your kit. do get good brand name kit, other kits can sound crap. pearl yamaha etc are great standards. what else do you need-- a metromome, a good drum stool and studio headphones to listen to the tracks to play along to

I was in Wal-Mart with my friends one time, and we all went into the bathroom to **** around, ****, etc. My friend found an empty CD case in one of the stalls so we decided to give it to a clerk. We thought it would be a good gesture to let them know that someone had stolen from them. Maybe it would help them keep inventory. Well, fifteen minutes and a purchased CD later we decided to leave; except we couldn't! As we tried to leave, two security guards walked up to us and started accusing us of stealing a CD. This, of course, is understandable seeing as though we had handed them the earlier CD case. Maybe they thought we were covering it up or something. My anger was also reasonable, because I hadn't stolen jack ****. But, later into the conversation, one of the security guards started telling me that they actually had footage of us stealing the CD. I immediately called their bluff and told them to show me this god damn footage. After he yzed us and decided we hadn't stolen anything, the security guard let us go. Leaving Wal-Mart pissed off, I wondered if they're even allowed to lie about those things. In an earlier situation, a policeman was interrogating me some car hopping that had been happening in my neighborhood. He also hinted that he had footage of me by saying, "Sometimes the park district sets up random security cameras," and hinting at other stupid things. Seeing as though a full-fledged officer of the law never actually lied about having footage of me and only hinted, I was wondering if security guards, or even police officers, are allowed to lie about these things. I ume they are, but I'd like to know.

My girlfriend has a bump on her inner thigh down there. i havent seen it. but she says its very sore. here about five monthes ago she was taken advantage of while out drinkin with some work friends. she got scared she had something so went and got tested. main concern was HIV. the test came back negative. im aware that HIV can lie dormant for some time but if you showed the symptoms (such as this bump) at the time you were tested wouldnt it came back positive if the symptoms were that of HIV? i read some related articles on yahoo answers that had similer problems. they mentioned boils and ingrown hairs. she says she had it for some time but thought nothing of it as it was much smaller. now it has grown and worries her alot. please help?

Can I use highland's teething tablets with baby orajel?

I am very wary of over-using any medicine. My daughter is eight months old and seems to have a top tooth coming in. I used baby orajel for her two bottom ones when they came in, and they helped to some degree, but she woke up every hour or so until they came in. How early should you send wedding invitations?

I am not sending out save the date cards so I can save some money. Everyone on the invitation list is family.
